Hatchway Leaks

Have you noticed water coming from your hatchway after heavy rain or snow melting? Setting a grate drain in the floor at the base of the hatchway stairs is a common solution to recurring problems. The drain is the width of the hatchway at floor level and is connected into an existing drainage system/French Drain under the basement floor. If a drainage system/French Drain is not present, then the grate drain is connected to a sump system.

Bulkhead Doors

Bulkheads, also known as basement doors or cellar doors, are a common source of water intrusion potentially causing water damage, mold growth, and structural deterioration.

Dino & Rocco's Balesano Waterproofing installs nothing but the best products. That’s why we only install Bilco and Gordon Bulkhead Doors. Your individual set up will determine what is best for you. Bilco Doors use a piston system (excluding flat doors) to prop the door open, and to assist in lifting and closing. Gordon Doors uses a mechanical latch system. Both work as designed, and each have their own strengths and weakness.
